This is a custom leather cover made by Impact Covers for Public Belt New Orleans. This cover was purchased at a thrift store and I was unable to find any information about it online, including what it is used for.
The cover measures just over 9 inches by 6 1/2 inches.The cover appears to be made of thick leather, but IT COULD BE FAUX LEATHER.
The cover has a diamond pattern on the front as well as an embossed Public Belt New Orleans logo. The logo is not the one currently being used by New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. I found the same logo from the cover on a Public Belt Facebook page and I\'ve included it in the gallery listing here.
The back of the cover is embossed with the Impact Cover website url in small letters at the bottom.
The cover is secured by a leather strap with a single large snap.
The interior of the cover features a leather strip with two large snaps. (See photos) I assume the snaps secure something specific in the binder, but I do not know what that is.
The cover has some wear along the edges, but is in excellent shape.
