Rare 1930 Wedgwood Princeton University CommemorativePlate - made in England.This transferware platemeasures approximately 10 1/2" across, and has an ivory background with blue images. The plate hasa decorative border, with a centralimagefeaturing the Tiger Gateway and Little Tower on the Princeton campus. The back ofthis plate carries following inscription and manufacturer'smark: "Princeton University 1930 --Tiger Gateway and Little Tower -- Wedgwood of Etruria and Barlaston, Made in England -- SoleImporters - Jones, McDuffee & Stratton - Boston". The Wedgwood impression/incision is also present.

Thisplate was part of a large Wedgwood collection that was carefully stored away for many years, and it is in excellent condition - no crazing, crackling, chips, cracks, repairs, stains or marks anywhereon this item.
