Very RARE Prehnite crystal slab specimen that was once cataloged and displayed in the Paterson New Jersey Museum (see detailed pics)

Gemmy Green slab with Botryoidal layering on host rock. * HAS a few sparkling inclusions on the outer crust that you’ll have to be the expert on what it is. (Sparkles in bright light, gold/iridescent (several pics show these unique features).

Large cabinet display slab which is app: 7.5” long x 3.5” wide

Own a true piece of history ! From what I understand, this particular specimen came from the best of the best locations in NJ that is now inaccessible and quite frankly got permanently covered and sealed off by massive public parking areas and such years ago. The Lower New Street Quarry and Prospect Park Quarry were two of the most famous. Many of these prime specimens were mined in the early 1900’s, so I’m not sure of the exact date it was mined, but it was for sure many years ago, possibly over 100 years ago. Prehnite is renowned for its healing qualities. Do your own research on this amazing natural mineral and its long history in the state of NJ as it can be truly fascinating.
