Replica sling for the German M.1871 and M.71/84 Mauser rifles. The sling is made just like the original German Model following the pictures and descriptions from Paul Pietsch\'s book on Prussian equipment and uniforms. Made of saddle leather, stitched with natural linen thread in the same pattern as the original. Leather is dyed medium brown, again just like the original slings. Metal is the same pattern as the original. I make the slings myself, from cutting, to dyeing, to stitching. I have been making these slings for over 40 years. Original slings are impossible to find and would be 3-4 times the price of this sling.
