Up for grabs is a 1880s ERIE (pre Griswold) No. 8A cast iron skillet. This skillet has two cracks by the handle but sits FLAT! It does have some typical sulfur pitting around the logo area and some utensil scratches but the surface is quite smooth. ERIE skillets are some of the best ever made, they are extremely light and the finish work is amazing. You\'ll love this skillet! It has been restored and seasoned and is ready to be put to work in your kitchen! This pan is recommended for baking or display. I would not use this with liquids or oils for frying given the cracks just to be safe.

As with any cast iron, the cooking surface will continue to darken and season over time and with use. This piece will outlive all of us and may become a cherished family heirloom.
