Vintage Hand Colored Postcard Features David Kaapuawaokamehameha At His One Man Hawaiian Village
Standard Postcard of the Day, but what makes it Special is that it is posted on March 13, 1942 from Schofield Barracks in Honolulu Hawaii by a Member of the 35th Infantry just 3 months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The sender was clearly caught up in the war in the Pacific and sending this card home to Colorado Springs Colorado, perhaps to family just to let them know he was ok.

Postmark Mar 13 1942 at 10am, Honolulu Hawaii with a 1 Cent Stamp still attached.Looks like the card was mounted at one time so there is some residue from that on the back of the card (see pictures)
