Post WWII ID’d USMC P-53 Korean War Era HBT Fatigue Shirt w/EGA Stencil Up for sale here is this post-WWII designed, P-53, Herringbone Twill Fatigue Shirt from the Korean War era.It is complete with all 9 plastic buttons sewn in place (4 in the front; 1 under each pocket flap; 1 on each sleeve, and 1 on an inner chest pocket.).Above the left breast pocket, it is ink-stamped, “W T EDWARDS”.On the left pocket, it is very cleanly and clearly stenciled, with the EGA above “USMC”.Under the collar, it is hand-inked, “Edwards).Please see and review all of the picture photos. I’ve shown different picture views from a light background and a darker background, which does seem to alter the OD green shade.
When laying on a flat surface, the approximate measurements are, as follows:
Armpit to Armpit - 21” Armpit seam to sleeve end - 18” Middle of collar to sleeve end - 32” Length from top of folded collar to shirt bottom - 29” Shoulder seam to Shoulder seam - 19”
I wear a size 40 and this is just a little snug.I believe it will fit a mens size 38 or 39 better..
Condition is very good.The only blemish is a tiny, 1/8” hole in the front part of the left collar which may be from where a collar device was removed, and two tiny rust spots in the inside back of the collar.It is clean and stain-free, so you can offer with confidence.
