Porcelain CAC Ceramic Art Co Belleek Delta Tau Delta Violet Stein Mug

The mark on the bottom is the Lenox Belleek makers mark green palette dating it from 1906 through 1924.

Painting porcelain, called ‘China decorating,’ was an approved pastime for young ladies and women at the end of the 1800’s through the 1930’s. You can find some amazing works of art on mugs, plates, and bowls.

The stein was well cared for, and is in remarkable condition. I can not see or feel any chips, cracks or repairs. This was a rather giddy sale discovery in a box of MCM pottery I purchased. I’ve had it on display on my piano for about a year. It’s time for it to go to a new home, hopefully reunited with a Delta Tau Delta member or beau. As the Delts are a Fraternity, I’m guessing this was a gift to or from someone’s sweetheart.

I e wrapped this very carefully, and have double boxed it for strength. 🥰
