Made before the Pope was beatified and declared a saint on May 1. 2011.Color of medallion is the same as the color in first two photos.
This lovely 10 bead (decade) rosary has clear faceted stones with an amber bridge stone leading to the crucifix at the end.
The medallion depicts the Pope, with the reverse side showing the Madonna and Child. There is a discoloration on the tip of the Madonna’s nose that I saw only with a jeweler’s magnification loop.
The words on this side read:
MATKA BOSKA CZESTOCHOWSKA KROLOWA POLSKI
(Our Lady of Czestochowska Queen of Poland)
The crucifix is embossed on each side.
Both the medallion and the crucifix are embossed with Italy.
This size rosary is typically carried in a pocket or purse.
Very good vintage condition.
