The official spelling of Pittsburgh, PA lacked the terminal letter \"H\" only from 1891 to 1911, which dates this photo pretty accurately.
I am not sure if this photo studio was inside of Kaufmann\'s Department Store or was at another location. There is no back mark.Brown, textured card has edge and surface wear and one broken corner. Surface soiling to card and image.Fading to image. Surface scratching to image.
Card measures 7 x 5 inches. Image measures about 5.5 x 4 inches.
My mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as quickly as I am able. There are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any information my mother may have left with individual photos. Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn\'t able to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often, but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more information on the internet and in history books, but it\'s a slow process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and selling process.I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so please check out my other listings.
