From a book published in 1875/1876. These are plates one and two, which are amongst the most difficult to find, as the book was large and unwieldy, and the first plates in the book are often extremely worn or missing altogether.
Some age discoloration, spots, a bit of smudging and general wear, and several short edge tears. Slight remnant of mounting tape in two places on the top edge of each plate. Please examine the photos carefully, they are part of the description.
