Discoloration on the paddle leads me to believe that it may be dented, age has turned the shellac a little yellow.

There are five chickens who’s heads Bob up and down when the paddle is moved.

Wooden ball hanging causes heads to bob.

Beautiful cobalt blue flowers painted on birds and paddle base, Little seeds in the middle.

The paddle has a 5 inch diameter.

The handle is just over 2 inches long

The wooden ball hangs approximately 6 1/4 inches

Absolutely no damage or where other than the yellowing of the shellac on the top of the paddle.

I found this item without any labels or tags, therefore I cannot authenticate that it is from Russia, but all of the comparables on the Internet listed this item as Russian.
