Up for sale is an August Holland-designed Tiki mug manufactured by Eekum Bookum (a.k.a. John Mulder) and sculpted by Patrick Vassar. This mug was made from ceramic and features a brown and red matte glaze. This mug is a rare “Ohana Edition” of the Pearl of Wisdom Tiki mug released at The Reef Restaurant and Bar located at The Caliente Tropics Resort and Hotel in Palm Springs, CA in 2018. This variant was given as a Christmas gift to employees of The Reef. Only 18 mugs of this Christmas variant were produced.

The mug measures 4” (width) x 10” (height) or 10.16cm x 25.4cm.

The mug is in excellent condition. I purchased this mug almost immediately from an employee of The Reef after it was gifted. I have never used the mug for libations, so it has never been used nor washed. It has been displayed only. I want to say this mug is in mint/brand-new condition, but I noticed the base on one side has a couple of possible imperfections. The mug was packed beautifully when I received it, so no damage occurred during transit. There is always the chance the mug was chipped while in possession of the original owner, but I highly suspect the base just has some artifacting from the firing process. When the mug is standing upright, these so-called imperfections are virtually invisible. They are mostly seen when observing the base directly underneath, which obviously would not be seen when the mug is resting upright. Otherwise, the mug is in excellent condition.

The mug will be shipped with generous packaging via USPS Priority Mail for $40 anywhere in the United States. Delivery confirmation and insurance for the full purchase price are included in the shipping and handling costs.
