I was finally able to find out the name of the character that is seen on these two vintage Japapnese menko cards. He is Perman. He wears a helmet/mask and a cape, as do his companions. On one card the girl seems to be flying. The other shows a monkey dressed in the helmet and cape.

These cards have colorful fronts with nothing printed on the back. They are each 2 and 3/8 inches (6 cm) in diameter.
Condition is very lightly used. Sold as a pair for one price.
