A marvelous pair of Asian hand crafted Soapstone and Mother of Pearl Black Lacquer wood panels ca. 1930/40s. Each panel is hand crafted and depict two lovely, young Asian ladies, their face made of soapstone and their gowns of beautiful mother of pearl inlay with a black lacquer wood background. One panel display two in front of a bridged with silvery white mountains in the background while the second rarer panel depict two lovely young Asian ladies playing Chinese checkers. Both elegant Chinese Chinoiserie lacquer wooden panels are in very good vintage condition with small signs of fading, a few minor surface scratchescommensurate with age and as seen in the pics. Each panel measure 37 in x 12 in wide (93.5 x 30 cm) and will hang nicely from any wall.
