Offered for sale are two cute vintage Poppets:
"Nancy, Girl with Dog"has two holes in her shoulder intended for small flowers (flowers shown are not included). 7" tall, 4.5" wide. Nice condition!
"Sally with Baby" is6.5" tall, 3.5" wide. I find it strange that the baby's eyes are the holes for flowers (not included), but when used as such, she appears to be holding a bouquet.
FromThe Spruce Craftswebsite:Afreehand stoneware designer named Helen Slater later produced a line of giftware for Metlox called Poppets. These whimsical creations were made of natural earthenware and hand-thrown.Specially colored glazesand hand-carved faces gave them unique appeal when they were new. In all, 88 different Poppets were produced with the Metlox name stamped on the bottom, and each came with a special box.
