Condition: The handles shows some wear. They are in nice condition. It has been sharpened, and is sharp!
Made in Wisconsin by West Bend under their finest Miracle Maid brand, it was produced with the finest quality stainless steel blades, forged with a high carbon content for maximum edge retention, satin finished and hand-honed to a razor\'s edge at the factory.
Handles are tough pakkawood with an ebony finish and a DEEP bonded polymeric coating to keep them impervious to water or other kitchen stresses. Handle fits the hand like it belongs there; hello, old friend! The resulting balance, feel and performance of this knife will be like a revelation to most users and for the money (or even for a lot more) this knife just may revolutionize what you previously thought a great knife is all about. Made in the classical Japanese chef\'s santoku profile, it\'s every chef\'s most important tool in the serious kitchen, amateur or professional.
It has excellent heft and JUST a bit of flexibility, as every great chef knife should. Perfect for chopping, dicing and mincing, it\'s also a great slicer and in this virtually ideal size--not too big, not too small--it\'s capable of serving any chef, large or small. This one knife measures 13.25\" long with a 8\" blade and the other 15.25\" long with 10\" blade but by any measure this is a superb value on an equally superb knife.
