This is a superb pair of Staffordshire recumbent greyhound / Whippet dogs with their wonderful overall portrayals, mounted onto the decorative cobalt blue bases with the quill / pen holders (inkwells) to the fronts.

c1900s - Pottery, ceramic

The dogs have thin white collars and beautiful faces with big eyes and whiskers. Each is hand painted . The dogs are just slightly different - mirror images of each other.

They have Crossed white front feet with the long tails. Mounted onto the decorative cobalt blue hollowed bases with gilt bands. A quill holder to the fronts

Condition: Both dogs are in very good condition without any damage or repairs. One of the dogs has more of a bisque finish while the other has more glaze. Just a slight difference.
