Pair of Antique Brass Push-up Candle Holders w/ Red Fringe, Metal Covered Shades:

For sale is a pair of very cool antique brass push-up candle holders with red fabric and beaded tassel shades with metal covers. The holders are about 15" tall altogether and the shades are about 5 1/2" wide. The brass stands are quite heavy - very heavy for their size, actually. The springs in the push-up necks work perfectly fine. There are 1" wide candles inside right now...I did not try to remove them.
The fabric shades have plastic inserts to keep them stable, and the only flaw I see with them is one single tassel appears to be missing on one shade. The reticulated metal covers are fine. I opted not to try to polish them, as their current patine better matches with the brass holders. One the top of one of the shade holders, one of the arms holding the top ring in place has come loose...needs to be soldered. Given the way they are shaped though, it still holds the shade in place (evident by the photos).
No markings, so I do not know the exact origin or vintage.
