Vintage Pair of 1970\'s Swiss Folk Art Pottery Deep Dish Plates - Wall Decor
Signed Folk Art - Approx 9.25 & 9.75 inches diameter
Estate collection find - excellent condition deep dish plates with holes thru back rim to hang on wall as previous owner did since purchasing on a tour of Switzerland in 1979. No damage, just the regular occasional glaze miss, or pop, as is common on most all hand-crafted pottery and earthenware pieces. The paint is heavy under the glaze and adds slight texture to the plate. Excellent color retention and high gloss glaze finish.
Note: Please see all photos to complete the description. I do want to note that they appear darker brown over the lighter, more goldish brown that the photo lighting as cast on them. Very colorful and charming pieces!
