Here is a scarce matched pair of early automobile headlamps manufactured by the English company Howes & Burley, circa 1900-1916. Each has beveled glass lenses with acetylene wicks and vented burners, as pictured. Each marked, “Howes & Burley Patent No 2070” . Measures about 18” long. With age associated wear and scattered scratches/discoloration to painted surfaces. Brass rings in need of repair. Offered as found. Please see photos.
