These were sold as decorative accessories in 1960s department stores. Several have been listed on along with matching Elgin branded 1960s wall clocks.
Molded from plastic in the1960s, and painted with faux wood graining and black paint to replicate the look of walnut frames and scrolled wrought iron. Each sconce is fitted with a brass-tone metal candleholder.

There are some scrapes and scritches on the surface, and some very small scrapes may have been touched in to blend with the faux graining. There\'s a closeup of one of those areas shown. The bare basic plastic color is evident on corners (there\'s one in the photos) so you can see - it shows where there have been some unretouched abrasions. I pack thoughtfully and with care so items might arrive safely.
These are quite tall (20 inches) and will require a box at least 24 inches long for safe shipping - that will incur a handling shipping charge from all shipping carriers that\'s not avoidable. Together without packaging the sconces weigh over 2 pounds. I will pack with lots of lightweight void fill to protect them in transit.
