SOLD AS A SET OF TWO

Westinghouse has been making some of the best light fixtures since the early 1900's. These, circa 1940's are no exception. One of these shades is in "A" condition, the other is a "B" with a few chips as shown in the pictures, just enough to show they're truly vintage. The bottom rims are black. The top has vent-holes to release heat from the old hot bulbs. A wonderful benefit to those slots is a glowing light emitted when the lights are on, very nice.

The original two-piece ceramic/porcelainfitterand socket are in great condition. They only needed a cleaning and new high-temperature wires to bring them back to life, ready for another 75 years! I added ground wires for safety and code compliance. The shade can be brought down for easy cleaning by loosening three screws. . A clean reflector is an efficient reflector. more light with fewer watts.

The shades are 16" in diameter. The point the pipe enters to the bottom of the shade is 10 inches. With the 6" down-rod installed from the bottom of the shade to the ceiling is 16". Also available free of charge is a replacement of the 6" down-rods with either 3" or 12" down-rods. The newer swivel hangers will allow the lights to hang plumb even if there is a 20 degree slope. The also protect from accidental bumps causing damage.

Light will be shipped in pieces to insure safe arrival; re-assembly is EASILY accomplished by purchaser.

The buyer will contribute 25 towards the shipping cost.
