This is a scarce original pontiled amber apothecary medicine bottle that came from an early drugstore in Louisiana....Poudre de Cigue on front in white fired on enamel label cut through to amber....hand blown with rough pontil scar on bottom...hand tooled wide mouth ring collar with original cork stopper....amber....round..5 1/2\"tall.....Excellent attic mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle with original powder residue inside. New Orleans and other areas of Louisiana that were settled by French speaking settlers often had their own drug stores. I bought this interesting bottle from an old man in New Orleans who told me that it came from a New Orleans drugstore that had closed in the 1930s during the Depression....
