This postcard was evidently released in Chelsea, Quebec, Canada after former British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill died in January 1965. Since another famous statesman, U.S. President John F. Kennedy had died by an assassin little more than a year before that, the designer used their deaths to honor both historically important men, locally and internationally.
Churchill is remembered by a quote from JFK himself on the front and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow on the back.
