Original scarce UNIVERSITY apple label. From 1920s for comination extra fancy, fancy & c grade Idaho winesap apples in bushel baskets grown on Trowbridge & Hankins holdings of 220 acres on the Emment Bench. Idaho unlike Washington or Oregon packed in bushel baskets for their apples. So their labels are these smaller labels like this one which is 4 inches by 8 inches. Neat label of a giant red apple in the center with the arcing brand name over it. Mrs. Trowbridge picked the name \"University\" as she and her families were well educated and \"University denotes higher culture\" so they wanted this title for their fruit (Yost & d\'Easum, 1980, 229).
