Original WW2 RAF Uniform, Medals & Photo Set - Corporal Arthur Norman Cotton who enlisted at the tender age of 16.
The collection consists of his
- 4 WW2 medals - Burma Star, 1939-45 Star, War medal, Defence medal
- RAF Geatcoat dated 1941, size 3 with KC buttons - all present
- overseas / summer jacket, size very small eg 34 inch chest or similar, top button missing. Not dated, but its small size imploes that it likely dates from his wartime service.
- Battledress with ww2 fabric medal bar and dated 1951, size 4, and KC external buttons
- sidecap with RAF KC brass badge and KC buttons, size small - eg 53 ?
- framed colour photo of him from 1939, the year in which he enlisted. Approx A5 in size.
- Navigation training textbook named to him
- pair of RAF woollen gloves dound in the pockets of the Greatcoat
- 2 fabric rank stripes found in the pocket of the Greatcoat
- 2 x kit bags named / with service numbers to him Arthur Norman Cotton
Born in 1923 in Hasbury Worcestershire England.
Enlisted 1939 and was stationed in Pershore, India, Singapore and Hong Kong. lived to the age of 97.
