Original U. S. Militia Light Artillery Saber, 1810 To 1840. Brass mounted reverse P hilt with grooved wooden grip, lacking the leather cover, and curved blade. The scarce original Scabbard as present, the leather broken clean through near the toe and missing the frog stud. See Harold L. Peterson, “American Sword 1775/1945”, number 38 for similar example. Good untouched condition with dark spotting and minor rush near tip a blade. 91 cm overall length inscabbard, blade 78 cm. See photographs for greater details. Condition is Used.
