Up for sale, is this original M35 helmet, in the rare size of 68 and made by Quist. Restored in an early-war “Apple”, or “Pea” green. Smooth factory-type paint.

The Q maker mark is clearly visible, but has lost a bit of its crispness under a thick layer of paint, and also time. The lot number is not readable due to the same reasons. The steel shell, however, is completely free of any kind of rust, or filler. It’s rock solid.

The paint has been aged slightly as has the tri-color decal. The European-made adler is unmessed with. Lacquer was used for extra strength and durability. I also darkened the size 60/61 liner with leather conditioner. The small scratches and chips in the paint (in combination with everything else) make the helmet look lightly worn, but it in fact has never left the display shelf.
