Rare - this is an original pin for the Bavarian Exceptional Service. It is labeled, In Treue Fest which is German for \"steadfast in loyalty\" was the motto of the Kingdom of Bavaria from 1805 - 1918 and of its Wittelsbach rulers. The belt buckles and pickelhaube face plates worn by Bavarian troops wear this same motto. The pin or object on the back for attachment is missing. Some sections of the original blue and white cloisonne is chipped or missing. If you notice this item compared with the new reproductions, there are differences in its design. This original item measures 2 inches by 1.5 inches. This item has been in my collection for several years, and I am now parting with it.
