1967 Civil Rights Bill Items Petition / Booklet / items that advocate the passing of the 1967 Civil Rights Bill. 1. orange : 8 1/2\" X 11\" 2 sided Petition flyer \" Sign On The Inside to Save Lives\" features photos of Mrs. Vernon Dahmer, Mrs. Wharlest Jackson & Mrs. Medgar Evers, all widows of slain Civil Rights Activists. The front has 2 NAACP ink stamps from the Cleveland, OH chapter. Verso of the sheet is a unused sign-up sheet. All have storage wear.
2. RED: 5 1/2\" X 8 1/2\" staple bound 4 pages pamphlet: : \"Write Your Congressman about Death In The Night\" Front cover is a photograph of the remains of a 3 bedroom home in Hattiesburg, MS after it was firebombed by Nigh Riders on Jan.10, 1966. Inside also advocates the passing of the Civil Right Bill and list 11 other slain Civil Rights Workers including Medgar Evers & Vernon Dahmer (on the above petition). VG copy, light wear to the upper left corner of the front cover.
3. 2 3/4\" X 5 3/4\" unused Member paper label issued by the NAACP. Fine condition. Right side 2 member paper labels unused, 4. 2 pg flyer ie Black businessman and invest in the NAACP 1965-66. 5. BR blue 12 pg music festival 1944 Texas 6. Freedom Fund Dinner, 1967, 16 pages, back cover dirty. Menu and speakers are in a photo. 7. Small flyer top L, join NAACP. opens. 8. Green flyer with corner misding, Jan. 1966, advantages of joining, opens so a 4 page flyer. Dates Jan. 1966. 9. Same with the baby, enroll Negro children also . Date May 1965. 10. Flyer with kids leaving a school, opens so 4 pages, June 1967, Cleveland stamp 11. Join Naacp decal, Unused 12. Original 8.5 x 10.75 sign to put on door or window stating that this is a place to join. Has staple holes. 13. Board of Directors 1969 14. National Board of Directors , last photo 14 total pieces.
