Original Belgian army brush stroke camo para battle trosers. Period 1950\'s and 1960\'s. Used by the elite Para Commandos in the colonial conflict in the Congo by the Belgians and the Rhodesians, South Africans and mercenaries in Rhodesia, Zimbawe, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea, Namibia etc.. Featurins the brushstroke pattern beautiful and effective camouflage

Following the 2nd World War the Belgian Army began designing and making its own uniforms again. The popularity of the British Denison Para smock uniform, which these trousers with the single utility pocket on left leg clearly takes its influence from, was such that many countries decided to design their own. Like its British counterpart the troser features a printed camouflage pattern, usually referred to as \"brush stroke\". The colors and pattern are not too dissimilar to the British smock of the World War II but are distinctly Belgian

The trousers are in outstanding used condition. It has professionally sewn darning on the rear left thigh area The colors are strong and bright. It has all the original plastic buttons. The label is present and completely legible. Made by Raka for A.B.L. (Armeé Belge/Belgisch Leger). Dated 1956. Size 3 size 38 waist. 29 inch inseam. which is worn as a size US M to L
