This 48 page booklet of the US Navy posters is 8x5 1/4 in. There is a comment page by Rear Admiral Palmer dated March 1st, 1918. This booklet pictures the recruiting posters issued by the US Navy since the declaration of WWI. The booklet was printed by the US and Recruiting Bureau. These posters were done by American artists including Charles Dana Gibson, Howard Chandler Christy, Franklin Brangwyn, etc. There are 39 posters pictured and each page has notations of poster, size and artist and some pages have noteworthy comments. The last page has a list of posters, artists and the number of each poster printed. The cover shows some wear and water damage. There are two torn pages and several bent page corners. The last pages have at one time been stuck together near the stapling. The above mentioned defects do not affect the pictures of the posters. Some of the pages also show aging and wear. Great little booklet.
