Translation of the Mezuzah Scriptures (Hebrew - English):

13So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul14then I will send rain on your land in its season, the early rains and the late rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil.15I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.

16Be careful lest you turnaway and worship other godsand bow down to them.17Then the Lord\'s anger will blaze against you, and He will shut the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the Lord is giving you.18Fixthese wordsof mine upon your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.19Teach them to your children, speaking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you rise up.20Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates,21so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the Lord swore to give yourforefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.

From Wikipedia: The Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, are a set of commandments which the Bible describes as having been given to the Israelites by God at biblical Mount Sinai. The Ten Commandments are listed twice in the Hebrew Bible, first at Exodus 20:1–17, and then at Deuteronomy 5:4–21. Both versions state that God inscribed them on two stone tablets, which he gave to Moses. The commandments include instructions to worship only God, to honour parents, and to keep the sabbath; as well as prohibitions against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, adultery, theft, dishonesty, and coveting. Different religious groups follow different traditions for interpreting and numbering them.

Inbiblical Hebrew, the Ten Commandments are calledעשרת הדיברות(transliteratedAsereth ha-D\'bharîm) and inRabbinical Hebrewעשרת הדיברות(transliteratedAsereth ha-Dibroth), both translatable as \"the ten words\", \"the ten sayings\" or \"the ten matters\".TheTyndaleandCoverdaleEnglish translations used \"ten verses\". TheGeneva Bibleappears to be the first to use \"tenne commandements\", which was followed by theBishops\' Bibleand theAuthorized Version (the \"King James\" version)as \"ten commandments\". Most major English versions follow the Authorized Version.

The stone tablets, as opposed to the commandments inscribed on them, are calledinHebrew:לוחות הברית,Luchot HaBrit, meaning \"the tablets of thecovenant\".
