For sale is a vintage carpenters hatchet, weighing 1lb.12.7 oz. overall, with handle. Unbranded, it has a 6-1/16\" head, with a 3-5/8\" wide edge, with a 1-5/16\" diameter checkered face. The steel is in very good overall condition, showing heavy use and wear on the checkered face, but with a excellent edge, which will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand. The 13-5/16\" wood handle is solid, but it is a hammer handle, with a predictably large void, as pictured.
