For Your Americana A very nice antique flat back tin cookie cutter. The cutter has a design of an eagle with its wings fully spread out. You can see the eagle\'s tail, head turned side way with its beak pointing to the left, and its wings fully open with the feathers outlined on the bottom. The cutter\'s back is flat having a large central hole to allow for the air to escape. The cutter has no handle and as such this is a true flat back cookie cutter. This is a very well-made cookie cutter that is beautiful, solid, and of substantial construction. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

  • Date: Uncertain but most likely late 1800s (19th century) to early 1900s (20th century).
  • Origin: This flat-back cutter was acquired at an estate in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
  • Size: The cutter measure ~5\" across and is ~2 7/8\" in height. The design itself is ~3/4\" deep. The cutter weighs almost 1.5 ounces.

  • Condition: The cutter is in good overall condition. The cutter has a very nice and warm gray patina. The flat back of the cutter is slightly bent along the edges of the design. It shows a few small spots of rust and soiling. Be that as it may, the cutter is still great looking and would make a great addition to your collection.
