The original photograph was taken by Louis Pesha and featured political advertisements that have been removed; likely so that the postcard could be marketed for general tourism. The original photo depicted Democratic nominees William J. Bryan and John W. Kern on a street banner and a welcome sign on the hotel for the democratic meeting held there.
