A very early California Wine label from the 1910\'s, maybe earlier, excellent condition, 3.50 x 4.50 inches in size. Pre-prohibition.

This old wine label was used byGiovanni Piuma, an early settler arriving in Los Angeles in the 1870\'s. He started a grocery and retail liquor business around 1889. In 1895 he planted vineyards in El Monte, north Los Angeles and continued to make wine until 1912. In 1918 he became a consular and was also involved in the Italian Vineyard Company. The label shows a drawing of the company plant in North Los Angeles, nice gold trim, scarce.
