Here is a large, old, cabinet card photo of a woman in striped long two piece outfit, skirt and top, with white trim. She is bent over a bed of flowers and greens, reaching in, perhaps weeding it. There is a frame house in back of the bed of flowers and a post & chain fence in front. On the back she is identified as Amy C. Kellogg. No dates or place and no photographer\'s mark on the photo. This came with photos from Allegheny, Beaver and Butler Counties, so I did some research starting there, and found an Amy Constance Kellogg, born in 1887 in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of the Rev. Samuel Henry & Sara (MacCrum) Kellogg. Her father was a Presbyterian minister and missionary who died in India while there translating the Bible. After his death, Sara and Amy lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Amy graduated from Grove City College, where she met George A. Frantz, who went on to study at the Western Theological Seminary, becoming a Presbyterian minister. They were married in 1913, and he became the associate Pastor of East Liberty Presbyterian Church. They were the parents of 4 children. They later lived in Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana, where Amy died in 1964, her husband George died in 1980.The photo is nice, the cardboard it is mounted on has missing corners, rough edges and peeling. The back of it has stains on it. Great old photo for anyone researching the history of the Kellogg or Frantz families. Postage will be 5.40 to the U. S.IF OUTSIDE THE U.
