This design was supplanted by the modern shield style - often with the state name omitted! - in 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states. Interstate 70 as a whole goes through ten states and numerous cities, and crosses through the middle of Ohio. Columbus, Dayton, Springfield, and Vandalia are some of the cities that have displayed this Ohio Interstate shield over the years.This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts.
