Up for sale this week is a nice, rather rare piece of obsidian rough from Glass Buttes Oregon. This rough came from the original fire pit and was stored for years in a rather large collection of Obsidian of a local rockhound in Boise who was very active in that area in the 70s.
Rough has been shaped and rubbed to about ~600 grit to within a .5mm+ of the ribbon\'s surface. Most of the photos and video show the rock wet so that you can see the fire ribbon inside. This is rough, it needs to be finished, polished.One side has a ribbon with color, the other is Champaign (gold fire with patterns). Run a thin blade between the layers, through the middle of the rock, to get two nice pieces. All that\'s left to do is shape and finish up with high grit and polish.Enjoy :)Thank you, good luck, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
