last 2 photos are taken wet to enhance detail and colors. This is an absolutely great looking specimen! Found in Central Texas - this petrified log has natural golden tigers eye & has a nice natural polish! The entire piece has been agate replaced/Agatized! Very solid petrification with great wood details. Basically this is a huge piece of jasper. An actual, whooping 13 POUNDS! Of gemstone quality petrified fossil wood. This is an excellent piece for lapidary uses, decoration, Collecting, etc. Definitely something you don’t see very often…especially this large size. In my opinion- this rock looks best when wet because of the coloring and translucent nature - makes it look slick and glassy. Would be a perfect focal piece in an outdoor waterfall or pond.
