Up for Consideration is an Incredible 18th Century Revolutionary War Era, French Officer\'s Rapier Sword w/ Chiseled, Pierced Steel Hilt & Well Engraved Blade!

c1750\'s-1770

This rare and beautiful signed 18th C. French Officer\'s Rapier Sword with Chiseled & Pierced Steel Hilt and Well Engraved Colichemarde Blade. Probably Carried by an Officer of Either Side Through the American Revolution era.

Total length (inside scabbard if present) : 39\", Blade length : 32\".

Engraved on either side of the blade in untranslated French. (Note images)

Condition is wonderful for the age!

A Beautiful choice example which had previously been on display in a Private Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts.
