This listing is for an original WWI 1916 Springfield Armory bolo trench knife. A nice Springfield Armory bolo, dated 1916 with canvas covered sheath. The blade is approx. 10 1/4\" long and is very sharp along the edge and comes around sharpenedabout 4\" on the top. Overall length is about15\" long. On one side of the blade is marked\"SA\'\" over FlamingBomb over 1916. Other side is marked US # 35022. The blade shows signs of being sharpened. The knife looks like it hada locking catch that secured it to the scabbard which is gone. Right side of the wood grip has a slight crack-see photo.The scabbard is canvas over a hard shell with metal receiving throat for the blade . At the end of thescabbard is a leather tip that you can see some initials\"A-K Co.RHS\"When packed for shipping it weighs 3 pounds.Please see photos for condition.
