Lot consists of an Unused, Original, 1985 TSUKUBA - EXPO \'85 - JAPAN WORLDS FAIR - EXPOSITION - MEDAL / MEDALLION. Solid metal medal / medallion features the Expo\'s Mascot \"Cosmo\" on one side and the Expo\'85 Triangle Logo on the other. Medal comes in it\'s original clear case and has not been removed from the case. You will receive the medal this way.

Expo \'85, officially called The International Exposition, Tsukuba, Japan, 1985 (Kokusai Kagaku Gijutsu Hakurankai, \"The International Science Technology Exposition\"), was a world\'s fair held in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan (Tsukuba Science City, a planned city focused on technology north of Tokyo) between Sunday, March 17 and Monday, September 16, 1985. The theme of the fair was \"Dwellings and Surroundings - Science and Technology for Man at Home\". The official mascot of Expo \'85 was Cosmo Hoshimaru. Maki Takagaki, a junior high school student designed the mascot which was chosen as part of a nationwide competition by school children.

Medal is approx. 3-1/8\" wide and comes in it\'s original, clear display case. Case has some light scuffs from storage. Be sure to view all pics to determine condition on piece.
