OPTOMETRY - Vintage/Antique Retinoscopy Rack Paddle Metal Frame w/Wood Handle [O-56] Description: This listing is for aRetinoscopy Rack Metal Frame w/Wood Handle. This rare Optometric instrument is vintage, possibly antique, however the actual age of the instrument is unknown. This is from my personal collection, however I was unable to locate a stamp, trademark or brand of manufacturer on this instrument. The instrument is made of a heavy and robust metal frame that raises the rack about 1/4\" inch when lying on a surface. There is a top oval in the frame to allow the rack to hang on a wall tack. The wood handle is still secure in the frame. The top section of glass lenses has the range of 0.25 to 1.50. The bottom section has the range of 2.00 to 6.00. The left glass lens at 1.50 has a chip in the glass near the edge (see image gallery for a close up of this section). The glass overall has preserved well considering age but there are some scratches on some of the lenses and the aforementioned chip. The rack frame measures 13\" long and the handle 3 3/4\" long. The total length approx. 17\" long. This item is vintage and intended as a display piece only. There is no original box with this item, but it will be packed carefully to arrive as shown.
