Photograph signed "Ollie Johnston". B/w, 4x7 overall, image 3¾x4 (one surface). Authentically signed at lower portion of photograph; facsimile signature at upper portion of lower blank margin. 3 imprinted sketches of Mickey Mouse at lower margin. Johnston (1912-2008, born Oliver Martin Johnston, Jr. in Palo Alto, California) joined Walt Disney's animation team in 1935 and went on to become one of the legendary "nine old men", serving as an animator or directing animator of most of the classic Disney features from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) up through The Fox and the Hound (1981). Upon his retirement in 1978, Johnston and fellow animator Frank Thomas co-authored Disney Animation: The Illusion of Life and Too Funny For Words, a collection of classic Disney gags and humor. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Mounting remnant on verso (no show through). Shipping - We ship via FedEx and USPS. Shipping charges are calculated at time of payment and are dependent on the number of items purchased and the destination shipping address. Due to the value of most purchases, a signature is required for delivery. This policy limits our ability to ship to PO Boxes. All international shipments (destinations outside the U.S) will be sent via FedEx. Please feel free to contact us in advance for shipping charges - international customers are encouraged to do so.
