The caption reads \"THE USS CONSTITUTION OLD IRONSIDES STARTED THIS COUNTRY\'S CAREER AS A NAVAL POWER IN THE WAR OF 1812.\" The stamp was CANCELLED ON THE U.S. FRIGATE CONSTITUTION on October 21, 1947 !
