This unassuming little book contains a wealth of vintage and researchable information. Measures about 6\"x4\" with 24 pages, mostly entered on both sides. The probable owner was Hazel S. Wilson.
The owner/writer lived in Plateau City Colorado where she often visited the Keystone Grocery there and soon became an employee. She details her charged purchases, then pays them and records the running balance.She also shows church contributions and some household items such as a wash tub and 5 chairs. At one point she spends several weeks visiting in Iowa, where she lists some girls in a children\'s home. Her travel expenses are duly recorded. We searched for a few of the Aunts listed and found the one listed as Mrs Julia Roberts in a later Denver directory (1936) as Roberts, Julia (wid Franklin), h. 346 Lincoln and Mrs Ed Wunderline (aunt Ethel) in the 1910 Federal Census Burlington Iowa (Edward 36, Ethel L. 29) and then in a 1921 Cleburne Texas directory as James E. andspouse Ethel.Although Hazel is not named in the book, research on various genealogy sites point to she as the owner. I will pass on the research to the buyer if wanted.We are cleaning out a long time collection and a variety of estate items, will be listing other items in the coming weeks.Will be sent in padded envelope with extra cardboard support.Be sure to check the condition box, look at all pics and ask any questions before offerding.
