Up for sale is aNorth Yakima March 1917 Freeman's Farmer News Magazine Vol. 71 No. 3. This is the First Issue produced by the New Owners after the daughter of the owner, Miss V.A. Freeman sold the paper. "Mrs. Leigh R. Freeman, who, with her daughter, Miss V.A. Freeman, has conducted Freeman's Farmer since the death of the husband and father several years ago. Mrs. Freeman died in North Yakima early in March." C.A. Smith, Elmer E. Sugden & W.R. Fletcher are the new owners. On the front cover is a message from the new owners to the readership: "There is just one practical and workable and certain solution for all the difficulties and discouragements of farm life. That solution lies in intelligent study of the theory and science of agriculture."It weighs .15 lb., is 10 5/8" wide, 15 3/8" tall and has 19 pages. My great-grandfather signed his name in pencil at the top of the front cover. His subscription name and address is printed at the top left.
